Terms Of Use

Scope of Services

Norman OK Appliance Repair provides professional residential and commercial appliance repair services to customers in Norman and the surrounding areas. Our services include diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing common appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, and similar units. Services are performed based on the condition of the appliance at the time of inspection and the symptoms reported by the customer. While our technicians use industry best practices, some appliances may have underlying or age-related issues that cannot be fully resolved. We do not guarantee the lifespan of appliances or the performance of manufacturers. All services are non-transferable and apply only to the specific appliance and issue diagnosed during the service visit.

Eligibility & Service Coverage

Our services are available to homeowners, tenants with proper authorization, landlords, and property managers requesting repairs in our approved service area. By scheduling service, you confirm that you are legally authorized to approve repairs at the property and that the appliance is intended for residential use only. We do not service commercial, industrial, or business-grade equipment unless specifically agreed to in writing prior to the appointment. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the appliance is accessible and safe to service. We reserve the right to decline or cancel service if eligibility requirements are not met or if information provided during scheduling is inaccurate or misleading.

Appointments & Scheduling

Service appointments are scheduled based on technician availability and workload. While we provide estimated arrival windows, exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, weather conditions, emergency calls, or extended repairs at prior appointments. Customers are expected to be available during the scheduled service window. If access cannot be provided, the appointment may be treated as a no-show. To cancel or reschedule, customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a service fee. Repeated scheduling issues may result in refusal of future service.

Diagnostic Fees

A diagnostic fee may be charged to evaluate and identify the cause of an appliance malfunction. This fee covers the technician’s time, labor, expertise, and use of professional diagnostic tools. The diagnostic process may include testing, partial disassembly, and inspection of internal components. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable and apply regardless of whether repairs are approved. In many cases, the diagnostic fee may be applied toward the total repair cost if the customer chooses to proceed with repairs during the same visit. Declining repairs or delaying approval does not waive the diagnostic fee or guarantee future pricing.

Estimates & Repair Authorization

After diagnosis, an estimate will be provided when possible. Estimates are based on visible symptoms and accessible components at the time of service. Some appliances may develop additional issues once repairs begin, especially older units. Any additional repairs or changes to the estimate require customer approval before proceeding. Repairs will not be performed without authorization. Estimates are not guaranteed prices and may change due to parts availability or unforeseen complications. If the customer declines the repair after diagnosis, no further work will be performed, and only the diagnostic fee will be charged.

Parts, Availability & Delays

Repairs may require manufacturer-original parts or high-quality compatible components depending on availability, pricing, and appliance compatibility. Part availability is subject to supplier inventory, manufacturer delays, and discontinued models. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping issues, backorders, or supply chain disruptions. While we make every effort to source parts promptly, exact delivery timelines cannot be guaranteed. Customers acknowledge that some appliances may be deemed unrepairable due to part unavailability or excessive cost. In such cases, the diagnostic fee still applies, and repair decisions rest solely with the customer.

Warranties & Guarantees

Any warranty on labor or parts will be clearly communicated at the time of service. Warranty coverage applies only to the specific repair performed and does not extend to unrelated components or future malfunctions. Warranty claims must be reported promptly and may require reinspection before approval. Warranties do not cover misuse, improper maintenance, electrical surges, water damage, pest infestations, or repairs performed by third parties. Appliances with prior unauthorized repairs may have limited or no warranty coverage. No warranty implies a guarantee of appliance lifespan or manufacturer reliability beyond the repaired component.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing a safe and accessible working environment for technicians. This includes clearing surrounding areas, securing pets, ensuring adequate lighting, and providing functional utilities such as electricity, gas, and water. Customers must disclose any prior repairs, recurring issues, or known hazards related to the appliance. Failure to disclose relevant information may impact repair outcomes. If unsafe or unsanitary conditions are present, the technician may refuse or discontinue service. In such cases, diagnostic or service fees may still apply. Customer cooperation is essential for accurate diagnosis and safe repair.

Appliance Condition Disclosure

Many appliances serviced are aging and may have wear-related or pre-existing issues. By authorizing service, customers understand that repairs address specific diagnosed problems and may not prevent future breakdowns. Some failures occur due to internal component fatigue, corrosion, or manufacturer defects beyond repair scope. Cosmetic changes such as minor scratches or alignment shifts may occur during standard disassembly and reassembly. We do not guarantee that repair will prevent additional issues or extend appliance lifespan. Customers accept the inherent risks associated with repairing older or previously serviced appliances.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Oklahoma law, Norman OK Appliance Repair shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, food loss, water damage, electrical issues, property damage, or appliance failure beyond the serviced component. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, manufacturer flaws, or hidden conditions discovered after service completion. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service performed. Customers agree that appliance repair inherently carries risk due to mechanical complexity and prior usage history.

Payments & Billing

Payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods will be communicated during scheduling or at the time of service. Failure to provide payment may result in additional fees, service denial, or collection efforts as permitted by law. Returned or disputed payments may incur processing fees. We reserve the right to refuse future service to customers with a history of nonpayment. Pricing is subject to change without notice, and prior quotes do not guarantee future service rates.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at our sole discretion. Reasons may include unsafe working conditions, abusive or threatening behavior, suspected fraud, nonpayment, misrepresentation of appliance condition, or repeated policy violations. Service refusal may occur before or during an appointment if conditions change. In such cases, fees for diagnostics or travel may still apply. Our technicians’ safety and integrity are a priority, and we maintain zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct at the service location.
